Community Resourcing Team


The Community Resourcing Team works to secure the flexible powers, policies, and resources that councils need in order to promote safe, healthy, socially cohesive and active communities; ensure quality, affordable housing; provide access to cultural, sporting, learning and recreational opportunities; and tackle poverty and disadvantage.

Team Functions

The Community Resourcing Team's key areas of work include working with professional advisers and key partners to identify potential and current pressures and levels of demand on services, and providing a range of advice, options and recommendations to elected members on strategy and policy development. Common themes across the team include supporting the development and resourcing of prevention and early intervention measures; promoting individual and community engagement in support of vibrant local democracy; and ensuring appropriate powers and resources for local governance and the delivery of sustainable services.
