Keep Scotland Beautiful: At the conclusion of the formal business on the agenda, as part of European Week for Waste Reduction, Leaders will be asked to participate in a photocall with Keep Scotland Beautiful. COSLA has previously endorsed Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Clean Up Scotland Campaign and this photocall will be the visual mark of councils’ commitment to the ongoing work on litter with Keep Scotland Beautiful. The key message is: “Scotland’s local authorities – working with Keep Scotland Beautiful to make our nation the cleanest country in Europe”.

Reminder: The Commission on Strengthening Local Democracy’s initial Call for Evidence closes on 20 December 2013.  This is a vital opportunity to help shape the future of local democracy in Scotland, and to ensure that the Commission builds on a powerful body of ideas and information from across local government. The Commission looks forward to hearing the views of your council as part of this process.

The call for evidence can be found at http://www.localdemocracy.info/call-for-evidence/
