			Events Events Diary The Events Diary contains details of the events of interest in the Local Government Arena. This includes all the agendas and papers for the COSLA Convention and Leaders Meetings (where available online), other COSLA events and other items of interest to local government. Convention The Convention is the ruling body which has overall control of COSLA's policy and direction. It consists of representatives from all member councils and political groups represented within Scottish Local Government. The Convention meets four times a year in different venues throughout Scotland. Leaders Meetings COSLA's main decision making body is the Leaders' Meeting which is held eight times each year. It is attended by the leaders of all member councils. Annual Conference COSLA's Annual Conference is the keynote local government event in the Scottish calendar and addresses the major issues facing local government in Scotland. Excellence Awards Excellence in Scottish councils is recognised in COSLA’s Excellence Awards ,which showcases outstanding quality in service to the public by councils across Scotland, at an annual event.
