COSLA RESPONSE TO SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT CONSULTATION ON THE CROWN ESTATE IN SCOTLAND

COSLA’s Spokesperson for Development, Economy and Sustainability Cllr Stephen Hagan said: “COSLA welcomes the publication by Scottish Government of the consultation on the longer term management of the Crown Estate in Scotland. COSLA has long argued that the management of the Crown Estate assets, operations and associated revenues should be devolved to local government, thereby securing the maximum local benefit for people and communities.

"Publication of this consultation represents the opportunity for this aspiration to be turned into reality and to fully implement the Smith Commission recommendations. COSLA will formally respond to the consultation in due course.”
