COSLA RESPONSE TO LGA MEDIA RELEASE ON EU FUNDING AFTER BREXIT

A COSLA Spokesperson said: “We have worked very closely with the other three UK Local Government Associations around BREXIT.

“COSLA fully supports and indeed shares the LGA’s stance around the amount of money they will need to be replaced post Brexit following the removal of EU Funding.

“The figure for Scotland is 1.8 bn euros. (Scotland receives 1,8bn euro in the EU Structural Funds  for Rural, Social, Marine and Social economic development).

“We also very much support the LGA in their ask that Local Government’s voice be heard in these discussions and would call for Scottish Local Government’s voice also to be heard.”
