COSLA responds to National Improvement Framework report

Councillor Stephen McCabe, Spokesperson for Children and Young People said: “Local Authorities are absolutely committed to improving the lives of young people and their families throughout Scotland. We are there at every stage of the child’s life to make sure there are a wide range of services and professionals to support each child according to their needs.

"There is much to be celebrated in the NIF report but still a lot to be done to truly address the poverty related attainment gap and to continue to improve children’s happiness and wellbeing.

"Councils across Scotland will work with their partners to continue putting children first in everything we do”.
