COSLA supports 16 Days of Activism - Day1

Yesterday, Sunday 25th November, was the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. It also marked the first day of the International 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.

COSLA’s President, Councillor Alison Evison says “This is the first year that COSLA has taken part in promoting 16 Days of Activism. It is important that the voice of Local Government is raised on this issue on behalf of our communities and our staff. Across Scotland, we all wish to reinforce consistent messaging against gender-based violence, confirming that it will not be tolerated anywhere nor by anyone.”
