Members of teaching unions EIS and SSTA have accepted the latest pay offer.

Members were balloted following the offer, which was made formally following a meeting of council leaders on Friday 3rd March.

COSLA's Resource Spokesperson, Councillor Katie Hagmann, commented on Friday on the news:

"COSLA welcomes today’s news that EIS members have accepted the most recent pay offer for teachers, and look forward to receiving formal acceptance from the SNCT teachers panel next week so that settlement can be finalised.

This positive news means that there will be no further disruption to children and young people's education, and will be welcomed by teachers, parents and carers across Scotland”
