Publication of Physical Intervention Guidance for Schools

New guidance  on the use of physical intervention in schools has been published.

COSLA Children and Young People Spokesperson, Councillor Tony Buchanan, welcomed the publication of the Guidance in a short comment today:

"I am pleased to see the publication today of “Included, Engaged and Involved Part 3: A Relationships and Rights-Based Approach to Physical Intervention in School.”

"I would like to thank the Physical Intervention Working Group for all their work in its development.

"The guidance will now be shared with schools to enable their policies and practice to be reviewed and updated.”
