Trading Standards Scotland - 15th May 2024

Councillor Maureen Chalmers, COSLA's Community Wellbeing Spokesperson, will join us for the second in a series of COSLA elected member seminars for 2024. Join us on Wednesday 15th May from 12pm - 1pm to hear about the vital work of Trading Standards Scotland. Trading Standards is the local government service that works to protect consumers from illegal trading practices and support the business community to comply with consumer protection legislation. As an integral part of COSLA, TSS is at the heart of policy development for local government and works closely with a number of partners including Police Scotland, the Society of Chief Officers of Trading Standards Scotland (SCOTSS), Advice Direct Scotland, Citizens Advice Scotland and Scottish Government to strengthen protection for Scottish consumers.
