COSLA President, Cllr Shona Morrison, commented on the joint statement from The Scottish Government and The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) on the progress of the Local Governance Review.

"The work of the Local Governance Review is core to our shared ambition to deliver sustainable public services that enable us to be preventative by eradicating poverty, in particular child poverty, and to deliver a just transition.  I welcome the publication of this joint statement which demonstrates the strength of work that is ongoing to enhance local democracy and enable individuals and communities to participate in and make the decisions that matter most to them. We look forward to continuing this vital work with our colleagues across Scotland."
