The Scottish Government published annual School Education Statistics on 9th December 2025. COSLA's Children and Young People Spokesperson, Councillor Tony Buchanan, welcomed the publication in a short statement.
COSLA Children and Young People spokesperson, Councillor Tony Buchanan, said:
“Today we welcome the publication of the school education statistics by the Scottish Government.
"The rise in teacher numbers and improved attendance rates demonstrate the hard work of our Local Authorities, Teachers, Children and Young People.
"We will now take time to fully consider the publication, and we will work collaboratively both at a local and national level on the next steps.”
